Key Findings from the 2024 HR Transformation Survey

Organisational Demographics Majority of respondents were from New South Wales (34.7%), followed by Queensland (18.4%) and Victoria (16.3%). Organisations varied in size, with the largest group (38.8%) having 1000 – 4999 employees as shown in the graphs below:

Technology

The use of technology in HR is accelerating, with 47.5% of respondents using four or more systems to manage payroll and HCM. This highlights a strong need for effective data management processes and systems integrations to streamline operations and improve efficiency..

Access and Scalability

Despite technological advancements, 40% of respondents still rely on manual processes to access HR-related data. There is a clear demand for better self-serve options, with less than 50% of organisations currently providing employees access to important HR information by submitting a request.

Information

Over 50% of respondents indicated that their employees cannot access crucial HR information themselves. This lack of access to essential data like onboarding documentation, rosters and compliance reports underscores the need for improved HR analytics and workforce modelling solutions. Some of the biggest gaps we’re seeing are:
  • Only 8% currently have a tool for org design and development, whereas 46% would like to have this in the future.
  • 13% of organisations currently have a solution that provides self-serve access to KPIs and benchmark reports / dashboards, when 49% would like to provide this for their organisation in future.
